That day again, the dreaded one that starts with an M. Work, dier, then I had to begin clearing my room for the builders coming next week, nothing to exciting!
Meh Wednesday standard work and a night in the flat.
Friday, and what better way to spend it than on a train up to Newcastle! Train journeys offer the perfect opportunity to catch up on all the work you have been putting off. Ideally you won’t have to endure having a nosey old bugger next to you peering over the every note and sketch you scribble.
It’s the smell of Newcastle Train Station that gets me everytime, that familiar smell which I relate with home and my favourite people! Strolled up into the uni past the SU and under the arches towards the infamous Claremont Tower. It was amazing to be back catching up with everyone I kinda forget I had to actually give a lecture to 198 students! After starting with a shakey hand I pretended I was Beyoncé and preached it. The students didn’t even fall asleep, now that’s a score for a Friday afternoon.
Took advantage of the SU drinks and then was reunited with two of my best toon pals. I get way too excited upon returning to Newcastle I am talking about dribbling noodles all down a white dress, kind of excited. It’s a good job the boys know me ha! Ended up in one of our favourite watering holes The Lady Grey, I mean we tried to be sophiscated and drink red wine but it ultimately ended in tequila shots.
Stumbling up Northumberland Road in the pouring rain cemented the fact that I was truely at home! So I suppose it’s okay to shed a happy emoshinal fully sentimentally fuelled tear induced by tequila of course HA!
Still shattered haha! Survived work a little easier today, my boss even offered me a Flake, declined though, healthy eating massive! Makes a difference though when your boss is nice though!
Pub quiz Tuesdays for the win, well we actually finished joint second and lost the tie breaker to end in third. Lovely evening with the Foxmore ladies!
Never have I felt this tired, plus I didn’t get a seat on the bus ha! It’s the little things on a Monday morning. All I could think about all day was crawling back into bed and that is what I did after I eventually got home from work!
A full packed weekend kills me off now I am 25, OLD!
Wednesday, standard hectic day at work, followed by a netball match. The netball court was like a battle field; our opponents tactics were pure aggression! We unluckily lost but it was super close. But I wasn’t that fussed because I get to go home tomorrow YAY!
Couldn’t get out the door this morning it was flooded with Valentines Day cards and numerous single roses… lol jokes!
Sack Valentines, today is the first 14th of February I didn’t send a stuffed toy from the pound shop, home, for my late little dog’s birthday! So to my bestest pal, the one I grew up, with Happy Birthday!
Ended up at some anti-valentines party courtesy of my friend Tom, which I have to say was a hoot. There was free candy floss the lot, I mean who needs a man!
